In previous times humans ascribed a spiritual dimension to the heavens. I’m interested in how the sky still serves as a source for contemplation.
The atmospheric conditions over Berlin, particularly at certain times of the year, allow the many contrails from air traffic to remain in the sky for long periods of time. These appear like confident strokes of a pen or, with a breeze, spread across the sky like abstract watercolour paintings of a turbulent ocean.
